The Quincentennial MOD combines a host of mods to create a comprehensive Star Trek experience with ships spanning over five centuries of the franchise. However, some of the best mods have persisted and are still available for download. Old file hosts have gone offline, and forums have been shut down. Unfortunately, many mods have been lost to the sands of time. Base Bridge Commander is an excellent game with a great story, but some of the mods turn it into a galaxy and time spanning Star Trek adventure. don_quichote’s efforts result in a USS Voyager alive in stunning detail, with almost all textures in the game receiving overhauls and with some character models, too, receiving extra work to make them better resemble their show counterparts. Playing much like other 90s FPS games of the era with fast-paced, frenetic action, combined with the concurrently running Voyager theme, the creativity behind this game serves it well to a graphical overhaul. Whilst Star Trek’s FPS outings were rare, Elite Force set a strong bar for quality.
